Our History
Our story began in 2021 with a simple but bold idea: the launch of the Document Our HiStory (DOHS) Podcast.
What started as a bibliotherapy platform created to help survivors of sexual and gender-based violence tell their stories, find community, and begin healing soon grew into something far greater. Through storytelling, we created safe spaces for survivors to speak, be heard, and reclaim their dignity.
We started the DOHS Podcast
Awarded a $5,000 grant by the Goldstein Center for Human Rights, University of Nebraska
Launched the Orphan and Vulnerable Children Initiative
Launched a Femicide Observatory and submitted a draft bill on femicide to the National Assembly
Launched the Femicide Research Hub; a movement by feminists to tackle femicide in Nigeria
